Learning through play
Come Play and Learn With Us!
Caregiver and me program
Our caregiver and me program is an outdoor experience, where children can learn about farm animals, make friends, and, most importantly, develop self-confidence. At Barn School, children are not constantly analyzed—they are supported, encouraged, and accepted. We believe Play is a HUGE part of learning and purposeful play is where the— magic— happens. While therapy and skill-building are important, so is the freedom to explore, to laugh, to get messy, and to simply be a child.
Children thrive when they are surrounded by a supportive, understanding community that celebrates who they are, not just how they learn. We also recognize that families need support too. Our community is a place where parents can feel seen, heard, and understood—where shared experiences build connection and strength.
All children are welcome! Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where they can learn at their pace. We understand that neurodivergent children experience the world differently, and that difference deserves patience, respect, and the right environment to flourish. We can provide our kids the assistance they require if we are patient, kind, and loving. Together, we will empower THEM to reach their full potential and, above all, to have confidence in themselves. They say it takes a village to raise a child; we hope to be that village for you and your family.

Helpful tips for parents
How Sensory Play Boosts Brain Development
Through exploration, curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving, sensory play promotes learning. It promotes the growth of linguistic and motor skills and aids in the development of nerve connections in the brain. We may also see improvement of concentration and distraction-blocking skills. When it comes to sensory play, nature is our best friend!
Family Engagement: A Key to your child’s success
Community, and families play irreplaceable roles in creating intergenerational learning.
Kids grow smarter and happier when everyone—young and old—learns and helps each other.
Outdoor Classroom
Imagine a classroom where the ceiling is the sky, birdsong fills the air instead of the hum of overhead lights, and students don’t just read about ecosystems—they step into them. Here, learning is alive—rooted in movement, curiosity, and connection. Children are free to explore at their own pace, guided by nature’s rhythm rather than a rigid clock.
